““Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged.”

Jesus – Matthew 7:1-2

This verse is from the book of Matthew, chapter 7, verses 1-2 in the New Living Translation (NLT) of the Bible. It is part of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, where he teaches his followers about various topics including how to treat others.

In this verse, Jesus is teaching his followers not to judge others. He explains that if you judge others, you will be judged by the same standard that you use to judge them. This means that if you are harsh and critical towards others, you can expect to be treated the same way. On the other hand, if you are kind and understanding towards others, you can expect to be treated with kindness and understanding as well¹³.

It’s important to note that this verse is not saying that we should never make judgments about right and wrong. Instead, it’s warning against being hypocritical or shallow in our judgments of others³.
